At John Ray Juniors our curriculum is based on activity and experience, and is sufficiently flexible to allow for each child to develop at a level and pace appropriate to their ability. 

The National Curriculum provides the basis for the content of our curriculum and we aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum for all childrem.  The National Curriculum subjects are: English, Mathematics, Science, ICT, Design & Technology, History, Geography, Art & Design, Music, Modern Foreign Languages and Physical Education.  We also teach Religious Education as well as Personal, Social, Health Education and Citizenship.  Where possible subjects are linked together and taught through a theme, rather than as discrete subjects. 

ICT is taught in its own right as well as across all the other subjects.
