On Thursday 3^rd February several of our children took part in the Cross County Race at Great Notley Discovery Centre and two children have written reports about the event.

I thought the track was really hard because you had to run up a hill, then go along next you had to go down and along a rocky path to the final line. It was a muddy race.

I thought the track was very hard because it was muddy and also very rocky.  A few people fell over and you had to run up the hill and run down it then go through the woods and then cross the finish line.

On 20^th January 2011, 13 members of John Ray Juniors went with Mr Bellinger and Mrs Morgans to Notley High School for a cross country event.  All the different year groups from each school competed against each other.  It was very muddy on the field and extremely tiring but fun.

I thought that the course was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life but it was fun.  Liam Blake (5T)

The course looked quite small but when you are doing it, it was massive! But it was also fun and incredibly muddy! Emily Hynes (5S)

The squad, who were also accompanied by Mrs Wade, Miss Wren and Mr Blackmore, finished 5th overall in the competition and were well represented by everybody taking part.
