Cycling Proficiency Training
Bikability courses are held on Tuesday afternoons for two hours. Pupils learn how to maintaint their bikes to a good standard for road worthiness. their helmets are checked and made sure they fit the children 's head correctly.  The children are also informed about the importance of wearing a helmet.

The children receive two books 'Tales of the road' which is a highway code for young road users and 'Safer cycling' which explains all the manouvers the pupils are taught on the course.  Both books are very useful and the pupils are encouraged to read them.  During the course the pupils practise manouvers on the playground and also on quiet residential roads.  They experience some traffic and how to deal with it confidently.
